Equipment List

You are kindly advised to use this list a guideline and adjustments to the list can be done according to your needs, interests, duration of your trip, season of your trip, etc. You can find variety of these gears to hire or buy in Kathmandu or in Pokhara. Majority of the gears which are in sale in Kathmandu and Pokhara are locally manufactured (hence a lot cheaper) and some gears found here are imported from China and are obviously of better quality.
You can find very high quality branded gears too in some famous stores here. It is good to keep your luggage as light as possible. You can leave your excess luggage which you are not going to use in the trek at hotel in Kathmandu or Pokhara. We normally provide 1 porter for two trekkers to carry your luggage and should have weight limitation of approximately 25 kg from two people.
Below is the checklist of equipment you need for the trek.

GENERAL
Duffel or Rucksack bag: ( one big duffel bag/suitcase is necessary for non-trek items left at the hotel in Kathmandu)
Daypack: (Approximately 2500 to 3000 cubic inches)
Down Jacket: (Your own Down Jacket is strongly recommended)
4 seasons’ Sleeping bag: (Your own sleeping bag strongly is recommended)

HEAD
• Sun hat or scarf
• Light balaclava or warm fleece hat
• Sunglasses with UV protection

FEET
• Thin, lightweight inner socks
• Thick, warm wool hiking socks
• Hiking boots with spare laces
• Camp shoes (sneakers and/or sandals)
• Gaiters for hiking in winter

HANDS
• Lightweight gloves
• Heavyweight gloves or mittens
• With a waterproof shell outer (Seasonal

LOWER BODY
• Under Garments
• Hiking shorts
• Lightweight cotton long pants
• Light and expedition weight thermal bottoms
• Fleece or wool pants (seasonal)
• Waterproof (preferably breathable fabric) shell pants

UPPER BODY
• T-shirts
• Light and expedition weight thermal tops
• Fleece jacket or pullover
• Fleece Wind-Stopper jacket (Optional)
• Waterproof (preferably breathable fabric) shell jacket

ACCESSORIES
• Sleeping bag rated to zero degrees F *
• Headlamp (e.g. Petzl Zoom) with spare bulbs and batteries
• Small pad or combination lock-to-lock
• Trekking Bags/Duffel bag
• Basic First Aid Kit
• Large plastic bags – for keeping Items dry insidetrekbag
• Daypack (approximately 2500 to 3000 cubic inches)
• Trekking Poles
• Water bottles
• Toiletries (Small wash towel, Toilet papers etc)
• Ear Plug (who know some people on group are snoring)
